Wilson Diesel Services Pty Ltd was established in 2022 by Max Wilson and is proudly based in Tennant Creek, servicing the Barkly region and remote areas across the Northern Territory.

Our workshop sits right on the Stuart Highway, and from day one the goal has been simple, provide reliable, honest mechanical support that local businesses, operators and travellers can count on. We aim to deliver the same standard of workmanship you would expect in the city, while still operating like a local Territory business that understands the conditions and the people we work with.

Max completed his apprenticeship in Darwin working with Mack and Volvo, where he developed a strong foundation working on heavy road transport and developed a real passion for the industry. After several years working in heavy vehicle maintenance and repairs, he moved into FIFO work across the remote Kimberley region, where he discovered a new passion working underground as a breakdown fitter.
Working in remote and demanding conditions broadened his experience across mining and civil equipment and shaped the practical, solutions focused approach he brings to the business today.

Seeing opportunity in Tennant Creek, Max made the move to the Barkly with his family and hasn’t looked back since.
Building a local business that supports the region has always been the goal, and he remains committed to employing and developing Territorians wherever possible, backing local workers and supporting the community the business now calls home.
Today, Max leads a practical, hardworking team delivering servicing, repairs and major mechanical work across light vehicles, heavy transport and mining and civil equipment, both in our Tennant Creek workshop and onsite when required.
